Btw, aku alumni AR ITB 2000. aku saranin untuk beasiswa daftar ke
institute of italian culture di jakarta, karena mereka representasi
resmi dari MAE (ministry of foreign affairs). Karena beasiswa dari
Polimi kecil. Check website IIC, deadline bulan april.
Untuk jurusan, gue rada ga saranin ambil arsitektur kecuali mau
belajar kalkulus 1 dan 2 lagi, sejarah dan prinsip struktur lagi, dan
mau lebih ke landscape :p eh, tapi kayanya tahun ini mereka buka juga
laboratory lain dalam bahasa inggris..
Kalo ke arsitektur, coba cari sekolah lain dulu deh yang program
internationalnya lebih tua. Polimi baru 2-3 tahun ini buka jurusan
buat international. Salah satu keterbatasan yang nyebelin adalah
akhirnya kita terpaksa mengalah dalam milih mata kuliah karena
ketersediaannya dalam bahasa inggris, kecuali kalo kamu sudah prepare
belajar bahasa itali.
I personally think its a good school. Its the biggest technical
university in Italy. I mean, aldo rossi, renzo piano studied here
too. Tapi mereka masih belum terlalu berpengalaman untuk program
international. Tapi untuk jurusan teknik dan desain aku rasa bagus.
Kalau kamu tertarik ke product (which is not only about designing
product), ada product service system design, kayanya seru banget
kuliahnya, mahasiswanya dari berbagai latar belakang studi juga. Kalo
urban planningnya.. bagus sih, tapi sangat ke policy design...
hehhe.. judulnya aja begitu :) which means, you would learn lots
about politic, public administration, sociology, economy etc... heee,
i dont know if most of achitecture students really have interest on
it (japri aja kalo mau dicuss about your personal interest).
Well.. another thing..
living in Italy, getting Italian scholarship, dealing with italian
bureucratie... are different matters..
dont wanna discourage, but.. we need to be more patient :)

always take a look carefully on programs and curriculum that are
offered by any school..
