School of Arts

Roehampton University is a young institution in a period of rapid
evolution with an invigorated commitment to research. We are driven
by an ambitious academic strategy, aimed at embedding a culture of
excellence, innovation and aspiration in both teaching and research.
The School of Arts brings together all of the Humanities disciplines
and the Performing Arts, and provides a stimulating environment for
both disciplinary and interdisciplinary research.

We are delighted to announce the following postgraduate funding
opportunity for new MPhil/PhD students applying to commence study in
October 2008.

Seven research studentships are available in the School of Arts (full-
time, 3 years or part-time, 4 years). Applications are welcomed from
the following areas:

Dance
Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies
English Literature
English Language & Linguistics
Film, Media & Cultural Studies
History
Theology & Religious Studies
