[beasiswa] [INFO] PhD & Postdoc position in machine learning group, Saarland Univ, Germany

Positions
We invite applications for two open positions in the new machine
learning group at Saarland University, Saarbruecken, Germany.

* Postdoc Position
The research area is the analysis of data (supervised and unsupervised
learning) from several sources in particular video and audio data. The
succesful candidate should have a PhD in computer science or a related
field and a strong publication record in machine learning. Programming
experience in C++ or MATLAB is required. The postdoc position is
initially for one year but can be extended.

* Ph.D. Position
The topic of the PhD will be the development and theoretical analysis
of machine learning methods for structured input and output data. The
applicant should have a degree (diploma or master) in computer
science, mathematics or physics. The position requires a solid
background in mathmatics in particular linear algebra, probability and
statistics and strong analytical skills. A background in machine
learning is appreciated but not necessarily required. Programming
experience in C++ or MATLAB is required.

Intelligence (DFKI), which is the largest research institute in
artificial intelligence. Recently, the Excellence Initiative Grants
Committee has awarded funding to the proposed "Saarbrücken Graduate
School of Computer Science" and the Cluster of Excellence "Multimodal
Computing and Interaction".
